Some circumstances make it difficult for us to know how to pray. There is a prayer that anyone, anywhere, at any time can pray and be confident that God has heard and will answer.
Like most prayer, the words are not as important as the attitude of heart that expresses it.
Whenever Jesus prayed it, God the Father worked miracles (Mark 6:41).
The apostle Paul said that whenever you pray, you should always pray this. More than twenty times in the New Testament, Paul himself prayed this prayer or encouraged others to do so (Philippians 4:6 & 1 Thessalonians 5:13).
In the Old Testament, David, Israel’s greatest king and psalmist, prayed this prayer more than twenty-five times as well. You’ll find most of those prayers in the Psalms. David encouraged us that it was the key to entering God’s Presence (Psalm 100:1).
Great battles were won when people prayed this prayer. One of the best examples is the account of King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah using this prayer as they entered into battle against the attacking Moabites and Ammonites (2 Chronicles 20:21).
It is the SIMPLEST and SHORTEST PRAYER in the Bible. You don’t need to memorize it. It is probably the GREATEST PRAYER of FAITH a person can pray. Yet, although this prayer is encouraged throughout the Bible and is so powerful, MOST PEOPLE typically FORGET to pray this prayer.
In fact, Jesus’ encounter with one group of people indicates that perhaps ONLY ONE IN TEN PRAY IT. Plus He greatly commended those who did (Luke 17:16-17).
What is this prayer? Simply saying “thanks” to God! Paul writes “Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 NIV).
For further meditation and application: Pause right now and pray some prayers of “thanks” to God. Thank Him for the good things that have happened in your life. And this is important, thank Him for the bad things as well. In giving thanks for the difficult things, like the saints of old, you are praying the most powerful prayer you can pray. Like them, expect similar results!

I have been charged with some very serious charges in court and i am facing an uphill battle in court. Lord Jesus, please stop my friend’s wife from cheating her husband and her child, as she’s seeing and communicating with her lover discreetly. Please change her so that she does not have any more feelings, love or interest for her lover, nor she’ll communicate or contact him anymore, infact, she should only love, serve and be truthful and a dutiful mother and wife to her husband and her child, and reside to another country with her family forever.
Same goes with her lover, he should not have any more feelings, love or interest for her, nor he’ll communicate or call her anymore. Please make his mind totally blank of her.
