Ann - Your experience of putting your goals in writing is a great testimony to its power. The goal recorded is the goal rewarded!!! Thanks for your encouraging words!

I just finished repainting my bedroom as I grew tired of the colors that I painted it 3 yrs ago. I set some goals and recorded on my calendar what tasks I wanted to complete by a certain time. Writing it down makes it easier, it is right there in your face and it is very rewarding to be able to cross it off when done. I find that if I don't do this, it is easy for other stuff to fill the spot and even so much more easy to put it off for tomorrow, if it is a task that I don't really like to do. I am not a painter-it isn't fun for me-but once I started, I was committed and the vision/thought of the finished product kept me involved. Now on to the next project...........tomorrow

Standing with you and helping to hold up your arms of prayer in acknowledging that God is working behind the scenes for you. Victory for you battle in the valley is being determined by what you are we are doing on the mountain.

I happened to be reading your current post and reread this one from August. I am right now sitting in a Turkish airport after almost 30 hours of unexpected delays trying to get back to Turkey from the close distance of Lisbon. As I have been met with closed airports, unexpected snow storms in Rome, two delayed flights, one missed flight, and about 4 hours of sleep, not to mention having to buy a new ticket to get me the last leg of the trip, I have been reminded of God's traveling mercies and have been praying for them to carry me through. I have comforted myself with the fact that there are angels amongst us and if this trip gets worse and I fall apart, an angel will be there to rescue me just as has happened before.
I haven't had an angel encounter today but still felt God's presence and was comforted by the kindness of the airline ticket agent who reduced the price of my new ticket and gave me napkins to wipe my crying eyes. She was about my own age but her sympathy touched me and gave me the tenderness I needed to keep moving through this uncomfortable trip home.
I am so glad that you have revolving blogs on your page because the angel blog was pertinent right now as much as the one on ceaseless prayer.
Moving one minute closer to home and my bed.....

What a challenge you've placed before us to "pray without ceasing" despite our not knowing exactly how or when God will work to answer the prayer. Surely it is good to be reminded of His faithfulness to the Israelites so that we can be mindful that God IS working behind the scenes as long as we do our part to exercise faith. Thanks!

The first step is often the hardest isn't it? I think we all have learned that once we can just get at a project and simply begin it, continuing is much easier. In fact 5 to 10 minutes of applied effort to start something quickly grows into many minutes, if not hours once the inertia is overcome. Give anything hard to do just 5 or 10 minutes and invariably you may get hooked and find it hard to stop.

Thanks Timotheus. I would be interestes, as would the rest of my readers, in knowing what other lessons you have learned from the troubles you have experienced. Could you share several of the things you have learned from times of trouble? Your wisdom as such a seasoned man of God is always greatly appreciated and benefits us all.

I have been through the same set of lessons when I was facing opposition 2006-2007. Though even a few more things I learnt . But above all, the time of trouble is a blessing since our Father is watching over us at that time too. The problem we face is in direct proportion to our growth in Faith Life. The problem we face has to be according to the test we can pass & never greater then our callibre. Praise be to Him !
