“He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.” Psalm 62:2 BSB
We are living in times in which, it seems, everything that can be shaken is being shaken; undermining our trust in both people and things we have taken for granted and depended upon in the past.
This, according to the Bible is a blessing in disguise, because it reveals the things that cannot be shaken – primarily Jesus our Rock and His kingdom – to which like this tree, we must steadfastly cling. (Heb. 12:25-29)
I go to the Rock of my Salvation
I run to the mountain and the mountain stands by me.
I go to the Stone that the builders rejected
When the earth all around me is sinking sand
On Christ, the solid rock I stand
When I need a shelter, When I need a friend,
I go to the Rock.
