The Back of the Book

“Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.” – Revelation 19:11 BSB

Can there be any more triumphant image than that of an approaching white horse with the “King of kings and Lord of lords” seated upon it riding forth to conquer, not to mention a heavenly army also on white horses following Him?

The two appearances of the white horse in the Book of Revelation are symbols of a conquering and triumphant spirit.

With never ending conflicts worldwide, and escalating culture wars waged at every level around us, it is imperative to keep this victorious perspective. A long range, overcoming attitude makes a huge difference in how we navigate these trying times.

The truth is, as an old Cathedrals Quartet song goes:

I’ve been readin’ in the Bible, ’bout the ending of the age.

And one thing that’s for certain, it grows closer every day.

But I am not concerned, about the way it’s gonna end.

‘Cause I’ve read the back of the book, and we win!
