This request for the Lord to set us as a seal upon HIS heart moves me to craft a New Year’s blessing and prayer for Him to also set the signet seal of His love upon OUR hearts:
Set Your seal upon my heart Lord, the hot imprint of Your love to seal my heart from everything that offends or seeks to rob me of Your love – fear, doubt, sin, and all worldly affection.
Let the burning zeal of Your love inflame me with a passion only for You and the things that please You. May it be a fire of first love devotion for You that is unquenchable.
