“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7 NIV
I visited the Corrie ten Boom house in Haarlem, Netherlands on Wednesday. She was the author of the Christian classic “The Hiding Place” (1971) chronicling her family’s protection of Jews during the WW2.
They built a narrow secret room in her bedroom (cutaway above), accessible thru a trap door in the back of a book case. Her story is a real life testimony to the faithfulness of God to fulfill this promise.
This verse is as applicable today as then, in a world where the persecution of people for their faith is escalating.
May the Lord in His mercy literally be a “hiding place” in times of trouble for His people!
