Grace and Peace to You

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:2 NIV

There is a reason this is the most common greeting in New Testament epistles (nearly 75%). Truth be told it is what we all crave and desperately need, on a daily basis.

It encourages us that grace, the enabling favor of God, and peace, a calming rest that comes only from a sense of His presence, are undergirding essentials of our inheritance as children of God.

This simple greeting reminds us all to stay intimately connected to and dependent upon the source of every blessing, our Heavenly Father and His son our Savior.
