The Antidote for Fear

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 ESV

Given the times in which we now live with breaking news daily on the coronavirus pandemic, coupled with the accompanying social and economic uncertainty, this verse is a healing balm for the soul.

The most common antidote for fear mentioned in the Bible is the acknowledgement of the comforting presence of God.

This assurance that God will be with us and will never abandon nor forsake us, no matter what circumstances threaten to befall us, is a calming promise for an anxious heart.

Can we find a friend so faithful , Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness, Take it to the Lord in prayer.
