This Psalm which begins as a desperate cry of distress takes a dramatic turn here as David comes to acknowledge the realization that his life and times are filtered through the hands of God.
At the end, when his test has become a “test”imony, David exhorts his listeners “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” (vs24) Or simply put “DON’T GIVE UP … GOD WILL SHOW UP!”
Having a revelation that God hears and sees us, and has a plan of action and timetable for helping us, is given to sustain us in hanging in there until He does.
The old chorus “In His Time” is a comforting reminder and prayer.
In his time, in his time He makes all things beautiful In his time
Lord please show me everyday As you’re teaching me your way That you do just what you say In your time
