“Open my eyes” is a simple, yet powerful prayer that acknowledges in humility our need for spiritual insight to see and understand things as they REALLY are.
It takes intentionality and courage to face and handle the Truth when God reveals it. However, whether it’s Jesus exposing our own pharisaical religiosity or revealing a ripe harvest field; or Elijah showing his servant God has the enemy out numbered, seeing life from God’s perspective ultimately inspires hope and faith.
Starting the day with this “open my eyes” attitude of expectancy in searching the bible for applicable truth is a lifeline in navigating the challenges of life with wisdom and confidence.
