“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I WILL YET PRAISE HIM, my Savior and my God.” Psalm 43:5 NIV
Having hope in God is hanging in there while believing that at some point, as surely as the sun rises each day, we will eventually be saved from the things which afflict us.
Confessing “I will YET praise Him,” might not be at the faith level of “continually offering a sacrifice of praise” or “giving thanks in everything” but it is a good starting place!
Hope in a compassionate God who promises to not “break a bruised reed” or “extinguish a dimly burning wick” is all we need to cause our faith for a breakthrough to grow (Isaiah 42:3).
Thanks so much for these messages, Tom. I really appreciate them. The pix make me a little
homesick for AZ. I just had to order 100 clock parts for them with my inventory sheets in AZ all
locked up. Lots of guessing and praying on that one. Best I pass off the treasurer’s job to my
buddy down there. Still hoping to make it down there this year. LaRae is feeling great on her new
chemo and tomorrow we find out how well it’s working. Pray you’re having a blessed time down there.
Love, Bob and LaRAe
Nice to hear from you Bob and know LaRae is doing better. Hope you can come south to AZ this year. Blessings!
